Munambam Beach & Fishing Nets, Kochi

Munambam is a very less know beach to the outside world. And It is one of the most beautiful and clean beaches in Kochi.

The beach has a beautiful walkway leading to the waters very close to a fishing boat harbor.

So you can see several large colorful fishing boats in the waters nearby. On the right side is a small backwater body connecting to the harbor and on the left it is the mighty Arabian sea.

The beach is a clean white sand beach with fishing nets lining the waters on one side. The walkway has few small vendor shops, who sell freshly fried seafood dishes like fish fry, fish cutlets, clams, squid etc.

Evening the entire area will be illuminated with beautiful lamp posts with the lining of walkways

Normally on this beach you can see family crowd evening time for a peaceful walk.

The beach often hosts local cricket matches between club teams from munambam area. Visitors cheered with full spirits here! All together Munambam is a must-visit beach and tourist area if you are near Cherai or Kochi.

This beach is less than a 10 km drive from Cherai beach and this beach can easily be reached through the well-connected roadway.

Note for Foreign tourists: Munambam Beach is a very tourist-friendly and safe to visit. Here spend some time enjoying the scenery and the sea breeze. The beach usually has a lot of visitors who come to just wet their feet in the water and enjoy the atmosphere.
